Pre-Treatment Checklist: 5 Things to Avoid Before Dermal Fillers

Preparation is just as important as the procedure itself when it comes to dermal fillers. While our Anti-Aging Treatments are minimally invasive, proper pre-care ensures a smooth experience, optimal product integration, and significantly reduced downtime.

The 48-Hour Protocol

To minimize the risk of bruising and swelling, we require all patients to adhere to the following checklist before sitting in the chair:

  • Avoid Blood Thinners: Pause the use of NSAIDs (Ibuprofen, Aspirin) and supplements like Fish Oil, Vitamin E, and Ginkgo Biloba for 48 hours prior, as these inhibit blood clotting.
  • Skip the Alcohol: Avoid alcoholic beverages for at least 24 hours prior to treatment. Alcohol acts as a vasodilator, opening blood vessels and increasing the likelihood of bruising.
  • Pause Active Skincare: If you use prescription Retin-A or strong chemical exfoliants, pause them 2 days before your appointment to prevent localized skin irritation at the injection site.
  • Arrive Nourished: Ensure you are well-hydrated and have eaten a small meal beforehand to prevent lightheadedness.

Following these steps ensures your canvas is perfectly prepped for enhancement. Ready to refine your features? Browse our treatment menu to explore your options.
